I have used this prank on many of my past and present colleagues. It can be highly irritating if your colleagues use a windows computer. So, when your colleague leaves their desk, go to the Control Panel of their computer and mess around with the various settings out there.

Some suggestions to make life hell using the control panel are:

1) Change the wallpaper to “Pamela Anderson” or “bare chest WWE wrestlers”, depending on what would be most embarrassing for your colleague and other peers.

2) Go to “Sounds and Multimedia” and change their sound settings so that your colleague is greeted with high pitched irritating noises every time he/she does something on the computer. For instance, set the sound setting for “Close Program” to “ringin.wav”. Do the same for “Maximize” and “Minimize” events. This can really drive people crazy, trust me (:evil).

3) Go to “Display” and then “Settings”. Adjust their screen resolution to be ridiculously high or small.

If you are really hell bent on frustrating your colleague and are willing to go that extra mile, then record a irritating voice message in your own modulated tone and put it on their computer settings in the Control Panel.

This way your colleagues can hear your wonderful voice, whenever they close a program, maximize or minimize a window, shut down their computer etc. And yea, do not forget to turn up the volume on their computers to the maximum.
